James Madison University (JMU) Athletics is accepting applications for a part-time Graphic Designer to create print collateral and digital elements that promote JMU Athletics programs and initiatives in an effort to generate revenue, increase attendance, maximize fan engagement and raise brand awareness.
Responsibilities will include the creation and design of print collateral such as posters, schedule cards, game day guides and promotional pieces, as well as digital design assets to be used in weekly and game-day email graphics, social media templates and general use graphics for web and social media and video boards. The successful candidate will collaborate with Marketing, Communications and the Duke Club to provide a consistent brand and promotional message across all projects.
Graphic design experience and experience in graphic design for collegiate athletics and/or professional athletics is required. Other qualifications include ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects effectively and oversee the JMU brand design identity and possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design skills. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, marketing, advertising or a related field is preferred.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and this is a part-time wage position working an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
