Greenville Health System (GHS) Children’s Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, is seeking a BC/BE Developmental or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Pediatrician. This large, highly integrated interprofessional Division includes 6 full or part time DB pediatricians, 6 specialty nurse practitioners, 3 social workers and close coordination with 6 doctoral level psychologists. Training activities include a fully endowed Fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and the South Carolina LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment Disabilities) program.
Job responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of a broad range of developmental-behavioral disorders, as well as teaching fellows, residents, medical students and trainees in various related disciplines. There are also many opportunities for research.
The Division works closely with many community and regional programs that promote healthy child development and population health including being the lead partner in Help Me Grow South Carolina and the Institute for Child Success as well as the Bradshaw Institute for Community Child Health and Advocacy.
GHS employs 15,000 people, including 950+ physicians on staff. Our system includes clinically excellent facilities with 1,662 beds on 7 campuses. We are an academic health center that currently hosts 15 residency and fellowship programs and we are home to one of the nation’s newest medical schools – University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Greenville.
The Children’s Hospital includes a 12 bed PICU, 80 bed Level-3 NICU, and a dedicated Pediatric ER. With experienced doctors representing more than 35 pediatric specialties, GHS offers more comprehensive "whole child" care than many of the country's major medical centers.
