The WCAI Associate Research & Education Director will support research and education programs in data analytics, interfacing closely with faculty and students, ranging from undergrad to doctoral as well as corporate partners who sponsor data and research projects.
The ideal candidate will learn to take responsibility for managing project timelines/communications and facilitating research projects, including meeting with corporate partners to understand the business context and available data sets, helping to prepare data sets so that they are accessible to internal and external scholars, coordinating/facilitating research meetings, and collaborating with the Research Director to scope and implement a wide range of projects. The job will also give the candidate broad exposure to analytics functions at some of the world’s leading companies and will introduce the candidate to the academic research process, including interfacing with students, companies, and top faculty from around the world.
Projects falling under the research and education umbrella, and therefore under this role’s responsibilities, will include the center’s traditional research opportunities, student research projects, and other integrated research and/or educational engagement models.
