In this role, you will be responsible for the overall direction and administration of Facility Care services. You will lead and build an efficient team that increases revenue, enhances productivity and controls expenses. Your top-level leadership skills and strong business acumen will be the engine that drives the performance of the facilities team! Our clients always come first, so the Director must have the flexibility and diplomatic skills to partner with a wide variety of personalities in order to help meet each client’s facilities goals. Finally, your creativity and drive will help Colonial expand our facilities work to new locations. Things you love to do in Facilities Care:
Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll have the ability to shape your team with your personal brand of leadership in order to manage the day-to-day operation of Facility Care services which operates 24/7/365.
You’ll run a smooth ship, ensuring that all maintenance requirements (janitorial, sweeping, trash removal, light bulb and electrical fixtures, snow removal and pressure wash and other non-technical services) are performed for each location with proper documentation.
Multitasking is second nature to you in order to meet strategic and financial goals, while also managing the fine details of day-to-day operations to fulfill all client expectations and contractual obligations.
An organizational wizard, you relish challenges of developing and implementing plans to control expenses and increase revenue with efficient operations, labor and material usage, and meet overall performance goals.
Your communication skills and diplomatic personality help manage any situation when problems arise with colleagues or external clients.
You are both a team leader and teammate, lending a hand to your direct reports when needed to achieve team goals and working varied hours/days as business dictates.
When not in the trenches, you are planning annual budgets, providing effective follow-up so all services are executed per the budget, and accurately invoicing for rendered services.
You have the drive to help the company grow by preparing proposals for facility care services directed at both current and prospective customers.
As a networker with like-minded professionals in the industry, you will help us uncover new business opportunities in the D.C. area.
You create thorough documentation to ensure operational processes, procedures, and policies are followed regularly.

What You Need To Have:
Bachelor Degree in General Business or related field.
Minimum of six years leadership experience in operational or facility management with responsibility for budgeting, planning and metrics reporting in a related industry.
Experience in scheduling, reconciling and billing time for services performed at external customer sites.
Experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
Excellent oral (including formal presentations) and written communication skills.
Possess a valid Driver’s License.
Nice To Have:
Background in the parking industry in a supervisory role within a private operation organization.
Ability to source new business opportunities for company consideration.
