Then apply to the Bank's role of Operational Risk Lead Analyst. This position works directly with the Operational Risk staff in the day-to-day implementation of the Bank’s overall operational risk management program with primary focus on the Operational Risk Department’s responsibilities related to the maintenance of an effective control environment around the Bank’s end user computing applications as well as overall enhancements to the Bank’s internal control environment. This position is core to the Bank’s mission of a “disciplined pursuit of long-term business performance” and will demonstrate the Bank’s continued commitment to achieving regulatory standards.
Responsibilities: • Enhances the Bank’s current processes and documentation around the creation, maintenance, reporting and compliance monitoring of the Bank’s end user computing applications (e.g., Excel and Access). • Performs second-level quality reviews of end user computing application execution in order to improve the Bank’s control environment. • Develops, recommends changes, and implements policies and procedures for improving the Bank’s operational risk management governance. • Develops and implements strategies for the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of, operational risk across the Bank as well as evaluating the application of various risk mitigations. • Leads facilitated risk assessment workshops including the Bank’s newly created scenario analysis program. • Performs various scenario analyses within the risk assessment program. • Prepares materials for the Operational Risk Committee, Enterprise Risk Committee, and the Board’s Risk Committee. • Leads the development of new and/or revises existing key risk indicators as early warning signs of increasing operational risk exposure throughout the Bank. • Provides ongoing training and support to business units with regard to the Bank’s overall operational risk management program and internal control expectations. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned. • Manages departmental internal controls and regulatory issues.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business related field. • 3-5 years of operational risk management/risk management, and/or accounting/audit experience. • Working knowledge of operational risk management/risk assessment techniques and business process analytical skills. • Strong computer skills, including use of Excel, Access, Word and Enterprise GRC software. • Strong verbal and written communications skills that promote effective working relationships in a team-oriented environment. • Strong organization and presentation skills. • Ability to positively engage, self-motivate and possess a strong desire to learn. • Demonstrated ability to partner and build strong collaborative, trusting relationships. • Demonstrated ability to be a team player. • Managerial experience preferred.
