The Office of Information Technology seeks a Web Developer to assist the Web Services team with the much anticipated migration of Ohio University websites to a new content management system. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of customers across campus to deliver website solutions that are viewed by millions of people yearly.
Under general supervision, the successful candidate will develop University websites within the University’s content management systems, while ensuring compliance with branding standards and ADA accessibility guidelines set forth by the University. The Web Developer will be involved in website planning, testing, and technical documentation.
Candidate must have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s Degree in related field with 2 or more years relevant experience. Candidate has:
experience using HTML and CSS at an intermediate level;
developed websites using a web content management system;
worked within branding standards and applied them to websites;
demonstrated skills in technical writing;
experience in technical troubleshooting as it relates to websites, browsers, and related tools on both Mac and PC platforms; and
excellent verbal and written communication skills;
1+ years’ experience developing websites in Drupal; Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of web development design challenges as they relate to making websites accessible.

Employment Type: Full-Time Term
