Adjunct Faculty, Business Foundations The George Mason University, School of Business, Business Foundations Area is soliciting applications for qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach BUS 100 – Business and Society and BUS 200 – Global Environment of Business. Syllabi for recent offerings of the course can be found at http://business.gmu.edu/undergraduate/courses/. The immediate need is for the Spring 2018.
Responsibilities: The position primarily involves teaching multidisciplinary foundation courses in the Business School. These courses will develop students' critical thinking and writing skills while analyzing the role of business in American society (Business and Society), and exploring the changing global landscape in which businesses operate (Global Environment of Business). Responsibilities, in addition to teaching, include preparing course materials, grading student assignments, student engagement, and holding regularly scheduled office hours.
Required Qualifications: Successful applicants should have an M.S. of business or a related discipline (e.g. international studies) or MBA with relevant work experience. Good citizenship and the ability to work well with colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. or doctorate of business or a related discipline (e.g. international studies) with relevant work experience. Prior teaching experience.
