Under supervision, the incumbent will assist the PI and research team with a complex multi-site longitudinal Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development study on children and their parents using neuroimaging, behavioral neurocognitive, clinical, and biological measures. Primary responsibilities include assisting with recruitment and screening; administering clinical, behavioral, and neurocognitive measures; collecting and shipping biological specimens; and assisting with neuroimaging sessions. Duties also include obtaining informed assent/consent; entering and verifying study data; and scheduling study appointment and research facilities. General lab assistance duties may include maintaining equipment and supplies, and preparing data collection forms and various correspondence.
Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and two years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in Psychology or related field and one year of laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual in English and Spanish. Proven ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish with a diverse population including children and their parents.
Experience administering eligibility screening and detailed clinical interviews.
Experience administering and scoring neurocognitive and behavioral assessments.
Previous experience in a clinical research setting.
Strong basic computer skills such as word processing and data entry, as well as experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point; Adobe PDF.
Experience collecting, coding, and scoring data using computerized and pencil and paper measures according to study protocol.
Working knowledge of DSM-V criteria and experience in integrating data collected into these criteria.
Experience setting up and taking down equipment used during MRI scans (e.g., laptop, display screen, response box).
Experience collecting, handling, and shipping biological specimens.
Current MRI Safety certification and working knowledge of MRI safety.

Availability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Ability to safely work near a strong magnetic field.
