West Shore Blvd. Suite 500, Tampa, FL 33609 when not traveling * The PSU Clinical Team Manager provides leadership, direction and administration of operations to ensure accomplishment of departmental and organizational objectives. They also direct, supervise and coordinate the overall operation of the clinical staff under the direction of the Senior Director of the PSU. Primary Responsibilities:Directs, supervises, coordinates specific functions and activities of the PSU medical assistant staff, including systems, policies and procedures, human resources, support services, etc. requiredAssists the Regional Manager and Physician's Business Manager in the development and marketing of new services and referral sourcesFacilitates the employment, development and management of employeesPromotes the provision of cost-effective, high-quality health care services to patientsCooperates with medical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulationsReviews operational problems/policies and recommends solutions and change to the Senior DirectorCollaborates with the Senior Director in the preparation and implementation of quarterly budgetsRecommends funding based on knowledge of policies, costs, and operating practicesRepresents the department as needed at public and professional meetings and conferencesParticipates in department communication and public relations programsMaintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep pace with the trends in health care administrationWorks with departmental leadership to facilitate the prioritization of Focus on Care Measure ClosuresWorks with departmental leadership to make sure that PSU activities are operating in accordance with standing orders and practice actsPerforms other related duties which may be inclusive, but not listed in position job description
Required Qualifications:Associates Degree in Nursing Current, unrestricted RN license required in applicable work state 5+ years of healthcare administration experience required, including 3 years of supervisory experience Computer literacy Knowledge of health care administration, health care philosophy and policies and operating procedures Basic knowledge of HEDIS and FOC measures Knowledge of fiscal management systems Knowledge of human resource management practices including supervision and staff development Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement standards Knowledge of computer programs and applications Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, decision making Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff, Senior Management, patients, vendors, payers, and public Skill in organizing work to achieve clinical/departmental goals and objectives Ability to analyze and interpret complex data Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports Ability to monitor compliance standards Willing to travel within assigned region with possible overnight stays as needed for training and monitoring This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of diseasePreferred Qualifications:Supervisory experience within the healthcare industry with more than one location Basic knowledge of HEDIS and FOC measuresPhysical & Mental Requirements:Ability to lift up to 100 pounds Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 300 pounds of force Ability to use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or machinery Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving Occasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluidsIf the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
