The Delivery Driver, under regular supervision, plans, coordinates, and transports food and equipment for catering and meal-plan dining programs in a safe, timely and efficient manner while maintaining the delivery vehicle(s) and equipment.
Overall duties will likely include:
Coordinate product logistics by reviewing daily reports in order to load and transport food and equipment efficiently and accurately for catering functions and other needs
Ensure that sanitary and HACCP procedures are maintained in assigned areas. Maintain all NY State Health codes including, but not limited to, temperatures, safe food handling procedures and proper sanitary restraints and uniforms.
Assist in maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment; including routine maintenance of all trucks and carts.
Provide onsite support to back of house activities at the events; includes maintaining cleanliness of restocking stations and visual security.
This position has significant physical demands, and at times are required to assist with moving heavy equipment. Must be able to lift 60lbs., position spends many hours at a time standing and walking.

High school diploma, or equivalent, and 1 year of related experience.
Good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Must be able to obtain manager level NEHA food/safety certification
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while adapting quickly to changing priorities.
Basic skills in reading, writing, English speaking and math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, using fractions).
Must possess a valid New York State driver's license with no major driving violations.
Must be able to complete Cornell's CMV requirements and be able to drive both standard and automatic transmission trucks up to 22 feet.
Ability to drive a truck or van and safely operate delivery truck under inclement weather conditions.
Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions and variable outside weather
Must have a working knowledge of storeroom and inventory techniques.
Knowledge of Cornell Campus is preferred.
