The Division of Transplant Surgery in the Department of Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join our growing abdominal transplant program. A strong academic interest and experience in Health Services Research or basic science/translational research is a prerequisite. The applicant should be proficient in multi-organ transplantation. Interest and experience in adult and pediatric liver transplantation is preferred. Candidates should be board certified/eligible; a graduate of an ASTS approved transplant surgery fellowship program and eligible for an unrestricted State of Ohio medical license. The successful candidate will be joining an expanding multi-organ transplant program including pediatric transplantation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Opportunities exist to participate in a high volume adult kidney and kidney pancreas program as well as significant vascular access opportunities. The adult program currently performs approximately 250 kidney, 100 liver, and 25 kidney/pancreas transplant annually. In addition, the candidate will actively participate in the education of transplant surgery fellows, residents, medical students and transplant advanced care providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants). The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic division, department, and medical center that are experiencing considerable growth in the clinical and academic missions. Faculty rank and financial compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials.
