The Analyst Report Writer will be responsible to meet with the decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define, develop and implement operational business reports. This includes requirements gathering, data retrieval from a variety of clinical and financial data sources, validation and curation, database administration, and translation of data into informative and actionable visualizations.Support and develop ongoing operational complex reports, system maintenance and implementation documentation. Design report logic related to the deliverables of various business processes and ensure that key dependencies are met. Develop relation databases to meet business and processes needs.REQUIRED--Minimum 2 years of experience in the analysis, retrieval, and management of clinical data from a healthcare software system.--Excellent analytical skills to develop and/or comprehend complex technical, clinical, research, and fiscal information; ability to absorb information to make timely and sound decisions.--Experience working with an electronic medical record (EPIC)--Demonstrated experience translating customer requirements into technical specifications and documentation. --Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL); experience with query tuning and optimization.--Experience creating reports using Clarity platform, Crystal Reports, Crystal --Enterprise Reporting tools or similar.--Minimum of 3 years of database modeling and development using either SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, Coldlfusion --Experience and in depth knowledge of application development tools such as Visual Basic, VB.net, Java, C++ and advance Access for developers.--Working knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications.--Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling/architecture principles.--Ability to use logic and flow diagrams to describe the functional processes of a system that both end-users and programmers can understand.--Excellent organizational skills to determine and prioritize workload to enable timely completion of tasks. --Identify and communicate problems in a collaborative, professional manner. --Ability to deal with highly confidential, secured, and financial matters; practical application of HIPAA and privacy rules a plus.--Comfortable working independently with minimal direction and as a team member in a dynamic and diverse environment.Demonstrated experience creating and presenting oral and written material to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.--Proficiency with various office software tools such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.--Strong oral and written communications skills to interact with various customers/end-users and produce correspondences.--Ability to balance multiple activities simultaneously in a highly effective manner while meeting activity deliverables and deadlines.PREFERRED--Prefer Epic Coding & Abstracting certification and certification in EpicCare Ambulatory or EpicCare Inpatient applications.--Knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS Coding System--Prefer Clarity Data Model certification--General knowledge of statistics and analytics--Familiarity with visualization/analytics tools (Business Objects, Tableau); ability to translate data into actionable information via graphical representations.--Knowledge of healthcare interface and data integration concepts, such as HL7 and/or other industry-standard data exchange protocols. --Thorough knowledge and analytical skills for developing application and departmental workflow and data specifications for ADT, orders, results, etc.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
