MSK Bergen, scheduled to open in 2018, will be a freestanding outpatient facility, located in Montvale, NJ. This site will allow us to offer the most-advanced cancer care services closer to home for patients residing in this area of New Jersey. Our highly skilled nursing team at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) is comprised of over 2,400 nursing professionals. Each of us is dedicated to delivering excellence in the art and science of professional nursing, consistent with our mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.
The Bergen Patient Care Technician ensures the care, comfort and satisfaction of our patients and their families by using clinical knowledge, clinical/technical skills and communication skills to assist in resolving any patient care related issues while working in close collaboration with entire clinical team and under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. These duties include ensuring that patients and family members are assisted in a timely, efficient and courteous manner and handling acutely ill patients in stressful situations. Taking Vitals, EKGs, Phlebotomy, basic computer and data entry skills are required. Successful applicants must possess strong communication skills, take an analytical approach to problem solving; enjoy working as part of a team, and exhibit initiative.

Hours: Full-Time 8 hour shift flexed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Start times may vary from day to day, between 7am -10am.
Please Note: Shifts are subject to change, with the possibility of extended and weekend hours and being requested to cover other MSK New Jersey sites as needed.
What You Need:
Required: High School diploma or equivalency
Active BCLS Certification
* Required: one(1) year of strong patient care experience with phlebotomy skills * Preferred: two(2) or more years of strong patient care, customer service and leadership experience
CERTIFICATION: Preferred: Certification from an accredited Nursing Assistant or comparable training program
