As Analyst, Global Insurance, you will provide general support to Global Insurance staff with all aspects of the operational management and day-to-day administration of World Vision’s global insurance programmes. You will be positioned to acquire a broader knowledge of insurance, claims, underwriting processes, and loss control and prevention activities to allow for continued development in the field of insurance/risk management.
Compiling and analyzing data required for underwriting and coverage placement purposes, including for all global assets/locations, staffing and other relevant exposures for 2,000+ locations worldwide for all Property, Casualty and specialty coverage lines. This position will have interaction with third party service providers including, but not limited to brokers, insurers and TPAs.
Administration of select claims for WVI’s global insurance programmes across all geographies. The position will also support departmental loss reduction/mitigation activities.
Assists with analysis of exposure information to help determine appropriate adjustments to the global insurance programmes.
Lead the majority of Finance related work for the department; premium payment processing, review and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports, allocations of global insurance expense, and supporting the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Develop and maintain systems for tracking and managing claims; create reports, presentations, training and reference materials.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or related field.
Familiarity with principles and practices of risk management and insurance in the property/casualty insurance industry through a minimum of 2-3 years of working within the risk management department of a global organisation, with a major property/casualty insurance carrier, and/or with a global insurance brokerage firm or through an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. College coursework, including internships related to insurance may be considered as relevant work experience.
Strong computer literacy – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to handle a high volume of work through prioritization and project management.
