The Office of Human Resources is seeking an experience Benefits Administrator to join our Benefits & Training team. The Benefits & Training team is responsible for providing service to our faculty & staff through knowledgeable delivery and administration of health and welfare benefits as well as a variety of wellness and recognition programs.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide benefits orientation for new employees
Maintain benefits information in our Colleague HRIS system
Develop and deliver written and media materials and presentations for benefits education & programs
Assist employees with all aspects of benefits access, claims, and processing
Calculation and data entry of benefits data in HRIS software
Develop and deliver employee engagement activities
Proactively monitor and audit benefits programs
Develop and maintain accurate recordkeeping and reporting of benefits data for participants and vendors
Processing of claims and resolution of problems for all benefits including: health and dental insurance, life and long term disability insurance, flexible spending and retirement.
Coordinate open enrollment activities and assist with benefits fair
Assist other HR office personnel as needed with general HR and office projects
3 or more years of experience in benefits administration of health and welfare programs
Strong understanding of employment and benefits laws as they pertain to FMLA, ADA, MMLA, PPACA and worker’s compensation
3 or more years of experience working in an environment that requires regular, direct, face-to-face contact with participants
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience managing multiple projects and ability to prioritize
Ellucian Colleague experience a plus
Associate’s degree in relevant area or equivalent experience will be considered.
