The Music Department of Central Washington University seeks a dynamic individual who will join a collegial faculty of active performers and teachers who are dedicated to training young musicians to excel as performers and educators.
The Lecturer in Applied Oboe will develop a studio of undergraduate oboe students. Additional duties may be assigned depending on qualifications and departmental need to supplement teaching load to full-time. These courses may include Music Theory, Music History, General Education Courses, First-year Experience Seminar, Piano Class, or other music courses.

Master's Degree in Oboe Performance, Oboe Pedagogy, or equivalent professional experience
Evidence of successful oboe studio instruction
Experience working with a diverse student population and multicultural curriculum
Ability to attract and retain oboe students
Positive reputation with studio teachers across the NW region
Demonstrated success teaching academic music courses at the collegiate level
