The Gehr Family Center for Health Systems Science (http://gehrcenter.usc.edu/) at the Keck School of Medicine seeks an experienced health services research faculty member with at least five years of full-time faculty experience. Candidates should have a history of funding from a career development award program and/or have successfully obtained a federal research grant (R-series or equivalent). The ideal candidate would be at an Associate Professor level. We will consider candidates with an interest in either tenure- or non-tenure track positions.
The mission of the Gehr Center is to improve healthcare delivery in Los Angeles and nationwide through science, advocacy, and education. The Center’s “Mission and Vision” statement is available on the website, along with additional details of the Center’s work. The Center was founded in 2016 thanks to a philanthropic donation from Mr. Norbert Gehr, a grateful patient. Currently, the Gehr Center has three full-time faculty, three part-time faculty, a care delivery intern, and an administrator.
The team seeks another experienced faculty member to support research, education, communication, policy, and implementation work at the Center. We will consider health services researchers from a broad range of disciplines, including both clinician and non-clinician faculty. The ideal candidate will have an interest in advancing his/her projects as well as in mentoring junior members of the team. An affiliation with the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics (http://healthpolicy.usc.edu/) will be considered for candidates with interests in health policy or health economics.
