This Research Associate position will serve as the AETC Coordinator for the HRSA SPNS HIV/HCV grant. They will work with the grant Principal Investigator, the Director of the AETC Program, the Project Manager, and clinical staff to enable appropriate training for improving clinical goals specified by the grant. Will participate in curriculum development related to training both for screening clinics and treating clinics. Will assist in administering practice assessment tools to guide practice transformation projects. Will participate with Project ECHO to design multiple modalities of training (face to face and web-based) to promote the Community of Practice and Learning. Will lead and manage the training program for approximately 20 off-site locations. Develop and distribute training materials to all on-site outreach workers at the various off-site locations. They will be responsible for working closely with the CT DPH and AETC as well as clinical sites to ensure training specified in the project implementation plan is executed correctly and that relevant data regarding training is accurately recorded. Will participate in all team meetings and conference calls/in-person meetings (organizing as needed) with CT DPH, HRSA site study personnel, HRSA Project Officers. Serve as principal IT communications manager designing and maintaining the project website.

Required Skill/ability 2: Demonstrated computer skills, including competence with word processing and statistical and data management programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, SPSS/SAS, ACASI and REDCap with the ability to enter data electronically, managing multiple databases and conducting quality control of data. Ability to learn new computer programs.
Required Skill/ability 3: Ability to design and maintain websites and set up and run virtual meetings via on-line meeting sites. Position requires travel up to 50% of the time.
Required Skill/ability 4: Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills for dealing with internal/external contacts, including collaborators with limited English language skills and excellent training skills with regard to clinical issues; this would include PowerPoint presentation to groups including training sessions role-playing in clinical scenarios.
Required Skill/ability 5: Proven organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to function under deadline pressure with follow through on logistical, scheduling and communications with both Yale staff and collaborators and the ability to maintain confidential information and familiarity with human subject's research regulations.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Health care and/or public health experience (e.g. RN, or Master's degree in a related discipline (i.e. Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education, or Research Statistics).
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Master's Degree in a related discipline and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
