Unit Overview: Yale University's Division of Finance is responsible for developing and linking the strategy of the University and its major units to its long range and annual operating and capital budgets, managing accounting practices and accounting systems to ensure the accuracy of reported results, and making meaningful financial information available to decision makers. The Division's Business Solutions unit serves as chief steward and Center of Expertise (COE) for Finance business systems and its data, and provides expert advice in leveraging the use of technology to support Finance business objectives and decision-making. Specific accountabilities include maintaining a deep understanding of Finance processes and business requirements, and evaluating, selecting and implementing solutions to support these objectives and requirements. The unit is also accountable for ensuring the delivery of high quality information to Finance and Finance stakeholders by maintaining rigorous data management standards and leveraging the use of business intelligence tools and technology to ensure optimum accessibility of information. Business Solutions also maintains a robust Tier 2 support structure for Finance enterprise systems and information delivery, and providing expert services and problem-solving in the ongoing operation of Finance enterprise solutions.
Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Solutions, the Associate Director of Reporting & Analytics is responsible for working with business partners and process owners to identify data, reporting and analytics business requirements, and partnering with ITS to develop data management and reporting solutions that provide accurate, timely, flexible and intuitive data access and delivery solutions to meet current and future reporting and analytical requirements. This position is also responsible for facilitating an effective data management and reporting and governance activities, maintaining processes for monitoring and remediating data and report quality, and ensuring that the overall reporting foundation supports and enhances business decision-making processes.
