Develops, reviews and assesses business processes within the Clemson University Foundation, Development Enterprise, and any other functions that utilize the Advancement software applications. Focuses on the use of resources. Combines expertise in fundraising and analysis with translation of users, business requirements into system deployments and business process changes. Serves as a change agent to facilitate deployments and modifications. Performs other duties as assigned.
30% - Essential - Process Documentation: Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications. Writes detailed, universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
25% - Essential - Systems Analysis: Serves as a liaison between departmental end-users and information technology analysts in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of fundraising-related systems to ensure optimal operational performance. Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems or enhancements to existing systems. Ensures the system design fits the needs of the users. Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff regarding process and systems utilization. Provides work direction to one or more technical or clerical staff or acts as a team lead on designated projects or assignments.
20% - Essential - Systems Compliance: Establishes monitoring system and metrics to allow determination of compliance effectiveness. Audits and monitors systems for compliance.
15% - Essential - Assessment: Defines and documents customer business objectives, functions and processes. Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and non-system driver changes. Assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and operational changes.
10% - Essential - Reporting: Researches and prepares statistical reports using data from computer systems and surveys. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
