Under direct supervision by the Pharmacy Concierge Team Leader and the Supervising Pharmacist in Charge, the representative will obtain new prescription / refill information, in addition to name, address and medical / prescription health coverage. This position is designed to increase patient access to FDA approved pharmaceutical care by managing insurance /prescription benefits and utilizing established patient assistance programs through the pharmacy industry.
The Pharmacy Concierge is responsible for working as a liaison between the medical office staff, clinical pharmacy staff, hospital based physicians within the office setting and the retail pharmacy team. The representative provides value-added services by developing client based relationships with clinical staff and patients, presenting pharmacy service options through customized financial analysis, facilitating information gathering for program enrollment (patient assistance and indigent programs) and relaying prescriptions to the retail pharmacy.
Bachelor's Degree in a non-clinical field.
Missouri Pharmacy Technician License.
Understanding and process knowledge of medical billing systems in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
Demonstrated computer literacy- including Word / Excel capabilities.
Outstanding customer service skills; at least one year experience providing customer service related functions to internal and external customers
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work or related field.
