As a member of the Design Strategy Team, you will work on Fidelity Labs incubators, which are small teams run like startups. Incubator teams dig into challenging, ambiguous, human-centered problems that you might not immediately associate with the investment world, but which are on the forefront of where finance, technology, work, currency, health, global business, and data intersect. You will be charged with designing the research, understanding the human lens of the problem, identifying insights and opportunity areas, leading ideation, and testing through prototypes.
The Design Strategy Team at Fidelity Labs started in 2005 and has strong executive support-often, the incubators read-out to the CEO and chair of Fidelity Investments. You will not only have the chance to work with team mates from leading schools and design firms but also with partners such as the Stanford d.school, MIT Media Lab, IDEO, and Institute for the Future. Team members say they love working at Fidelity Labs because they can sink their teeth into tricky problems, have balanced lives, and continue to hone their craft in a collaborative and supportive environment.
