Join us and help people live healthier lives while doing your life's best work.(sm) Reporting to a business segment VP, Human Capital, the Talent Business Partner is responsible for developing and driving a global talent strategy and ensuring development of talent and leadership pipelines to support the growth of the business. Working closely with business leaders and Human Capital Business Partners (HCBP), this role will translate business objectives into strategic and actionable talent plans. How this Role Supports the Business Agenda: Develops and executes a global, end-to-end talent strategy for assigned business segment inclusive of build, buy, and mobility strategies and tactics Assesses leadership and key role pipeline health and works in collaboration with Human Capital and leadership teams to develop solutions to close gaps Manages the segment succession planning process to ensure ready-now successors for critical roles Facilitates robust talent reviews to continuously adjust selection and development for executive positions Identifies high potential leaders early in their careers; actively engaging and monitoring their development ensuring plans are in place and progressing Partner with Talent Business Partners from across UnitedHealth Group to monitor and proactively build an internal executive talent pipeline Engages Talent Acquisition in proactive external talent pipelining; "recruiting without a requisition." Personally involved in fostering relationships with top external talent and keeping them interested in UnitedHealth Group Designs and monitors custom executive onboarding/assimilation strategies to ensure effective acclimation to their new roles Partners with Talent Acquisition teams to conduct market intelligence for critical roles and build effective sourcing, assessment, and hiring approaches. Ensure talent marketing and employee value proposition is aligned Partners with Talent Development and/or Human Capital Business Partners (HCBPs) to design, develop, and implement business-specific, targeted leadership development programs Incorporates market group diversity strategies and goals into segment Human Capital plans Manages talent analytics ensuring accurate, meaningful data and dashboards are used to evaluate programs, processes, and all talent-related activity Provides talent ramp up/down plans as needed including talent redeployment orchestration Leverages workforce planning analytics to create a clear view of talent demand (growth, business objectives) and supply issues (risk of turnover, retirement, and workforce mobility) and incorporate into talent strategy Monitors the effectiveness of talent development programs/initiatives Builds career-development strategies and related programs for critical segment talent groups Participates in Communities of Practice and Talent Councils for critical talent segments
Required Qualifications:BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience 10+ years' experience in Human Capital in large matrixed organization with deep knowledge of business partnering, talent acquisition, executive-level recruiting, talent management, succession planning, talent development and organization development to build integrated strategies 5+ years' experience with deep knowledge of diversity and inclusion Ability to think strategically and then develop and implement purposeful plans to achieve business goals Results oriented Strong organizational and project management skills Clear, concise and transparent communicator Able to understand talent data, draw conclusions and translate that into a compelling story for business leaders Excellent client relationship, networking, and partnering skills at all level of an organization; collaborative style Executive presence and the confidence to represent the company as a key internal leader and external ambassador Proven track record of influencing without authority Business focused with strong organizational savvy Proactive and resourceful; self-motivated Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPointPreferred Experience: Master's degree Global experienceCareers at UnitedHealth Group.
