TheBroadcast Operations, Online Content Specialist assists with the production of live sporting events for Northwestern’s in-venue video board and online streams, including the planning and creation of engaging game-day content. This role creates original video content for department’s television shows and social media channels to promote and increase brand awareness of Northwestern’s athletic programs.
Please Note: This position requires the ability to work a non-traditional schedule, often including evenings, weekends and some travel as required.
Plans, strategizes and executes the production of live sporting events for Northwestern’s in-venue video boards and online streams.
Assists in control room during live productions, with responsibilities including directing, technical directing, and operation of replay and graphics machines.
Produces original video content for Northwestern’s television shows, social media channels and stadium video boards.Conceptualize, shoot, edit, produce and distribute videos for various platforms.
Collaborates with other units within department, including marketing and athletic communications, to plan and execute content that meets department goals and objectives.
Assists with the creation of still and motion graphics to create a dynamic, branded appearance for video content.
Shoots ENG style video at games and athletic department events for use in video production and online distribution. Travels with teams to selected road contests to capture behind-the-scenes access of Northwestern programs.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA. (5%)

Bachelor's degree in video/film production, communications or related field or successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience with video production, including shooting, editing and post-production.
Experience with video post-production and graphic creation software, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.
Minimum 1 year of professional experience with live sporting event production and technical understanding of required equipment (including Ross Carbonite, XPression & Mira).
Experience with shooting of sports games, highlights and interviews.

Ability to work efficiently on short deadlines, including balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Experience with directing, technical directing and overseeing game day staff preferred.
