Oregon State University (OSU) – Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for a visiting Mathematics Instructor. This position, starting Winter term of 2018 through Spring term of 2018, is a 1.00 FTE fixed-term, non-tenure track appointment and is not renewable.
The Mathematics instructor will teach undergraduate mathematics courses that serve a variety of majors (service courses) including MATH 105 – Introduction to Contemporary Mathematics (winter term); MATH 112 – Elementary Functions, MATH 254 -Vector Calculus, and STATS 202 – Principles of Statistics (all taught in spring term). In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will serve as a mathematics, statistics and possibly physics tutor.
Salary is commensurate with academic preparation and professional experience.

Typically requires Master’s degree in discipline appropriate to the field of teaching/instructional tasks.
MA or MS in Mathematics or related discipline.
Ability to teach mathematical courses to students in various degree programs.
Effective teaching experience at the college or university level.
Possess exceptional communication skills.
