The primary function of the Intel Center is to prototype new products orproduct elements, working with Clinical SMEs to prototype new insights intohealthcare claims, provider and member data, for both internal and externalcustomers. We have recently been prototyping and developing the firstrelease of a new commercial analytic product. Due to an internalreorganization, we are now looking for an experienced Data Engineer tocomplete our capabilities and maintain and enhance our capacity. Candidates with experience in a formal consulting or pre-sales role are likelyto be preferred. This is an innovation role – the successful candidatewill be expected to think on their feet, cope with and make sense of ambiguity,and work with minimal supervision. Candidates especially need to becurious about our data environment – to explore new opportunities; source,ingest and evaluate new data and to share this knowledge with the wider team.This role will prepare you forsignificant career growth. Primary Responsibilities:· Gather and analyze businessrequirements· Translate business requirements intodata requirements Source data and associated metadata Explore the data landscape and proactively drive data consumption Drive coding best practice and support the Data Analysts Participate in peer reviews of work product Generate new ideas for use cases through the use and understanding of our own and external data Engage and build relationships with data and subject matter experts Develop the Intel Center's portfolio of data assets
Required Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Management, Data Warehousing, Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent work experience Expertise in Data Warehousing or Data Management Experience working in complex data environments – large scale RDBMS such as Oracle, Netezza, Teradata or equivalent Strong SQL skills are essential, in addition to use of code generators Strong communication skills A strong sense of curiosity, to learn, explore and shareDesirable/nice to have Skills: Exposure to Big Data Platforms and technologies (Hadoop, AtScale etc) Knowledge of Tableau or similar Python or R skills Health Administration technical experience
