Provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of the audiologically impaired patients of all ages on an in and out-patient basis.
Administers and interprets basic hearing evaluations and assessments.
Administers and interprets some special hearing evaluations and assessments.
Conveys test results and adapts explanation to patient and refers patient to specialized facilities, if necessary.
Maintains and calibrates equipment.
Maintains professional certification by meeting all continuing education requirements.
May provide additional assistance in research projects.
Doctoral degree in Audiology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Texas State Licensure as an Audiologist from the Texas State Board of Health.
