The business process engineering team is a new team designed to create the best end to end member, client, provider and broker experience possible by improving foundational processes and creating an integrated model to serve client needs efficiently. This team will be responsible for identifying process and quality gaps, presenting innovative solution options to address these gaps, and implementing the selected business architecture and process enhancements. The scope of work will encompass all business units and operations sites within Global Solutions. This is where you can do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Working collaboratively with business and subject matter experts to map and document current and future processes from end to endAssessing complaints and/or requests to troubleshoot and correct problems (e.g., work helpdesk; access relevant systems)Analyzing business metrics to identify key issues, trends, and potential root causes Working with relevant stakeholders to establish appropriate criteria and goalsDocumenting detailed business requirements for process improvements, product changes, and system enhancements. Defining project timelines, assessing resource needs, and managing execution according to an action planEstimating quantify potential benefits, costs, and resource requirements associated with recommended business process solutionsCollaborating with business leaders to document business objectives and key performance indicatorsDocumenting detailed standard operating procedures, policies, and workflows for operations teamCommunicating and training of changes to operations teams
Required QualificationsMust work out of Tampa, or Towson officesUndergraduate degree or equivalent experienceStrong analytical capabilities – able to quickly assess, diagnose, and recommend Strong process orientation – able to breakdown complex processes into component partsStrong written and verbal communicationsExperience with UHC financial systemsAccounting experienceFinancial reporting and modeling experience2+ years processing and adjusting healthcare claimsExperience with UHC claims systems5+ years providing customer serviceExperience developing SOP contentResource planning and staffing model experience5+ years communicating with providersAccount management experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience in the Healthcare IndustrySix Sigma (or equivalent) trainingNetwork management and negotiation experienceCareers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
