This is a teaching intensive, 9 month position. Teaching responsibilities may span the undergraduate mechanical engineering curriculum with expected emphasis in the areas of additive manufacturing, computational modeling, dynamics systems and controls, and engineering design. Graduate teaching responsibilities will focus on the candidate's area of specialty within mechanical engineering. Other responsibilities will include course and curriculum development, advising students, and serving on department, school and university committees. Faculty member is expected to provide high quality instruction and to develop new courses as necessary based department needs and the background of the candidate.
Must possess a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and potential for an outstanding career in teaching
Expected to teach a broad range of courses in the mechanical engineering curriculum

Experience teaching undergraduate courses at a 4-year ABET accredited Engineering program or Junior candidates that have completed a formal teaching preparatory program

Interest in the development of short courses at the graduate or professional levels
