The primary function of the Service Assistant is to support the EOS mission of providing various levels of customer service to the School of Engineering’s faculty, students and staff in performing a wide array of tasks across multiple buildings. These tasks would include but are not limited to: coordinating, tracking, processing of maintenance work requests; tracking key requests; moving, setting up and breaking down event furniture on a daily basis; responding to occupant calls for assistance, moving of office/lab furniture, performing routine building inspections, troubleshooting building issues and monitoring housekeeping cleanliness standards, interacting with unionized personnel, processing building access, providing access for contractors, operation of security/access systems. The Service Assistant reports to the Senior Building Administrator. Occasional overtime will be required for this position during mission critical events.
