Monitor data performance and manage parameters. Responsible for database optimization and tuning SQL queries. Create data models for business reporting needs. Installing Oracle 11g/10g/R2 RAC databases on Linux platforms for multiple nodes using ASM. Installing Oracle Enterprise Manager and its agents on the servers. Creating accounts and setting up alerts in 10g/12c grid control. Perform database administration for both back-end data organization and front-end end user accessibility. Refine physical database design to meet system storage requirements. Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary. Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans and ensure proper function of storage, archiving, back-up, and recovery procedures. Install new applications, run diagnostics, and provide on-call support. Conduct system tuning, performance monitoring, and database maintenance. Design seamless database upgrades and migrations. Analyze existing databases, including the design and implementation of all database environments. Utilize Experience in using Materialized views, Oracle Streams, and Golden Gate for data migration and setting up Dataguard environment with failover or switchover exercise. May telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 5 years related, progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Must have demonstrated experience with (1) database optimization and tuning SQL queries; (2) creating data models for business reporting needs; (3) installing Oracle 11g/10g/R2 RAC databases on Linux platforms for multiple nodes using ASM; (4) installing Oracle Enterprise Manager and its agents on the servers.
