Education & Professional Qualifications BA required. MFA preferred. 2 years working experience. Practicing artist preferred.
Administrative & Management Experience Confident using independent judgement in decision making. Experience managing a team and working with students preferred Proven success developing relationships across organizations. Developed organizational and task management skills; strong, oral and written communication skills.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Familiarity with a broad range of materials; proficiency in multiple approaches to making art will be expected. Knowledge of and commitment to health and safety as they apply to artistic materials and regulations. Familiarity using a variety of software applications including, Word and Excel. G Suite and Mac/Apple proficiency. Comfort working with hand and power tools and troubleshooting equipment and repairs. Interpersonal Skills Proven success establishing and maintaining positive and cooperative working relationships; commitment to quality of service Strong work ethic; ability to work independently and proactively. Ability to work in a culturally-competent manner with diverse groups. Must demonstrate competence, reliability, and honesty.
Working Conditions This position is currently scheduled to work a Monday through Friday. Must be able to occasionally work nights and/or during weekends. This job requires long periods of sitting, standing, or repetitive tasks. Noise levels are moderate
Physical Requirements Must possess ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties, including manual dexterity, agility, strength and coordination. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must possess a valid California driver's license.
