The Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions will hire a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in Music Education to join our faculty starting September 1, 2018. We seek an engaging educator whose teaching, scholarship and service will assist the program in developing and implementing a new vision focused on preparing our students for diverse and innovative careers in music and music education in community, school, and technology-enhanced settings. The successful candidate will bring prior experience as a musician and educator working across a wide range of styles, genres, and practices; have worked with youth in diverse, urban city contexts; and be able to articulate an innovative vision for music education at NYU, in New York City, and our global sites.
