The School of Nursing, Student Affairs is seeking a Director of Admissions is to provide strategic direction and leadership to the admissions program of the University of Maryland School of Nursing students. This position is responsible for directing the student admissions responsibilities of the School for all academic programs.
The Admissions Office recently underwent a reorganization to streamline processes and better organize reporting relationships. The Admissions Office has a very strong foundation with three experienced managers who will directly report to the new Director, and seven full-time recruiting and operations team members. The new Director will have a wonderful opportunity to implement best practices in enrollment management by implementing an ambitious recruitment plan, engaging with the university's new CRM system, and will be empowered to creatively meet the School's enrollment goals.
Responsibilities include: managing the admissions team, facilitating admissions funnel processes for students, representing the School to internal and external constituencies regarding admissions related issues, executes enrollment management strategies, executes student recruitment plans, collaborates on financial aid strategies, makes recommendations on technology solutions, and serves on senior staff of Student and Academic Services. In addition, this position is responsible for the leadership and development of a department encompassing 11 full time employees and directly supervises three Assistant Directors. This position will ensure compliance with admissions' standards and policy consistent with the requirements set by the governing bodies of the School and University. Will serve on School and University committees responsible for enrollment management strategy.

Directs and leads admissions process for all academic programs. This includes directing activities designed to engage prospective students, convert those to applicants, ensure swift consideration by faculty committees, and lead yield activities.
Manages, coaches, and develops a highly capable admissions staff consisting of Assistant Directors, counseling and recruiting staff, and operational team members.
In conjunction with Associate Dean and School constituencies, develop and execute enrollment management strategies to include formulating and executing student recruitment strategies.
Represent School in recruiting students and in presenting to a wide variety of internal and external constituents.
Oversees enrollment reporting to include data dissemination, analysis, and formulation of recommendations.
Other duties as assigned.
Education : Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
Experience: Seven years of progressively responsible experiences working with student services with at least two spent in higher education admissions or enrollment management.
Supervisory Experience: Three (3) year of experience in management which included recruitment, training, and professional development of staff.
License/Certification : N/A
