Position coordinates key high school programs, performs essential billing responsibilities, and functions as the social media coordinator.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the annual Health Professions Fair.
Serves as a liaison between the ODP and the teachers and administrators for the Saturday Scholars Program, functioning as the first point of contact for questions regarding the Saturday Scholars application process. Assists with the execution of other key programs such as the Revisit Weekend and the Diversity Retreat. A list of the ODP programs may be found here: https://mddiversity.wustl.edu/events/
Approves through FIS departmental expenses including social, equipment, supplies, travel and program expenses. Responsible for maintaining program expense spreadsheets, financial files and records for the ODP including ProCard purchases, monthly charges for cell phones and blanket order expenses. Resolves ProCard, invoice, payment or delivery problems with assistance from the ODP Secretary.
Updates and distributes the annual ODP Faculty/Student Directory.
Functions as the social media coordinator for the office; maintains the ODP website, Facebook page and proposed Twitter account; maintains the ODP photo library. Assists student groups with maintaining their respective websites.
Serves as the ODP liaison to the Washington University Minority Medical Association (WUMMA). Assists the Executive Board with event planning and communications.
Assists with the planning and implementation of the Collegiate School Medicine and Biosciences (CSMB) internships. Annually tracks the outcomes of the graduating class.
Serves as a backup to the Receptionist/Secretary on an as needed basis including vacation and sick days. Represents the ODP at Operations Team meetings.
May represent the ODP at local or regional recruitment fairs.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
College degree with at least two years of administrative experience and some student affairs or student advising experience.
2-4 years of related experience, particularly in the areas of billing, website development and social media; experience in aneducational environment preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Superior oral and written communication skills
Complex reasoning and critical thinking abilities are essential
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of general office equipment, computers, calculator; proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; strong working knowledge of social media, Wordpress (content management system for website)
Familiarity with FIS strongly preferred
Able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
The hiring range for this position is $20.36 - $25.94 per hour.
