Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Manage the OI pharmacy trend analytics group dedicated to supporting UHC Pharmacy Perform quarterly trend forecast and track monthly trend performance as well as other key metrics of the fully insured book of business Provide quarterly regional trend performance tracking Provide insight and identify opportunity for the business based on trend forecast and trend performance Identify issues/unusual trend and provide meaningful explanations and insights as well as help develop mitigation plan Analyze/interpret the results of the analysis and develop appropriate conclusions and recommendations Evaluate market events and business issues and quantify the impact on book of business Support Ad Hoc pharmacy cost and utilization analytics Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop business questions for analytic investigation (e.g., utilization analysis) Utilize applicable data/analytical tools to extract and analyze data (e.g., SAS, SQL, Excel, Tableau) Compile and disseminate results of data analyses (e.g., data displays, PowerPoint decks, summaries
Required Qualifications:BS or BA Degree 7+ years of business experience with emphasis in financial analysis or other analytical functions 5+ years experience in the Healthcare or Pharmacy field 3+ years experience managing staff or leading a team 2+ years of Pharmacy claims data experience Analytic expertise to identify relevant and actionable study components Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Ability to organize work effectively and efficiently SAS, R, Access or other statistical programming experiencePreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree BS or BA in Health Economics, Statistics, Healthcare services research, Finance, Business, or related PBM experience Excellent communication and presentation skillsCareers with Optum.
