The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program at Harvard University has been established to deliver a unified approach to the authentication, or login, process across the University while also simplifying the creation of an individual's information distributed across Harvard Schools. Similar to a passport allowing access across the University, every school has the capability to partake in centralized IAM services to deliver a standardized Harvard experience while still allowing the distribution of identities with local school management. Simply put, the IAM Program makes it easy for Harvard's user community to securely access the applications and information they need to be effective. Currently 250k individuals have a HarvardKey and we support upwards of 100k logins per day using those credentials.
Harvard University's Identity and Access Management Group, which is part Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT), is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to be a member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Product Management Team to:
Work with customers and subject matter experts throughout the University to analyze and document requirements for new and existing Identity and Access Management systems and services.
Work closely with team members, including product and service owners, engineers, quality assurance, operations and support team to document materials for internal and external use
Coordinate customer communication and outreach, working with product and service owners
Coordinate planning of program increments and internal knowledge transfer
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements into specification documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases and conceptual process models
Work with product owners to field requests, discuss and document requirements and collaborate on solution design including business process and policy matters, where applicable
Assist with development of use cases and testing requirements
Work with the technical team to document solution designs, release and transition requirements
Document business operating requirements for delivered products and work with product team and operations team to analyze and document internal and customer operational requirements
Coordinate regular program increment planning sessions
Maintain content on website
Create and maintain knowledge resources in conjunction with product and service owners, and support team
Prepare and present materials to foster internal team knowledge transfer and alignment
Handle some direct customer communication and training

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, related work experience
