<p><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">This position is located in the department of research animal resources, providing technical advice and support to RAR staff. The employee will provide support for all office-related technical equipment, e.g., computers, printers, copiers, desktop and handheld scanners, and for facility security access support. This support will include, but not be limited to, purchasing recommendations, understanding software components, handling support agreements, and coordinating with RAR’s business analyst 4 U Market consultant. The employee will provide ongoing support for the departmental webpage, as well as provide database recommendations for facility access – keys, ULearn, and training services. Most importantly, this employee will provide support for RAR’s custom billing and animal ordering software upgrade (WDS), as well as understand and maintain the connectivity programs surrounding WDS software, including IACUC protocol daily downloads, the web animal ordering site, interface billing files fed into enterprise financial system (EFS), electronic animal order approval, loading electronic vendor pricing files, and surrounding printing functionality for all of these technical functions. <br /><br />Primary responsibilities include:<br />The employee will provide support in upgrading WDS (written in progress language) to version 11.0, which will occur in two distinctive steps: first, the data upgrade to 10.2; and then the full upgrade from 10.2 to 11.0. This will involve ancillary software applications that are directly related to WDS, and will include IACUC protocol daily downloads, web animal ordering, semi-monthly interface billing files, animal order approval, vendor electronic pricing files, hand-held scanner programs, and printing. The employee will work closely with RAR’s WDS business analyst 4 UMarket consultant during this conversion. Once the conversion is complete, the employee will support ongoing WDS functionality, manage future wds changes and up-grades, oversee all printer functionality (cage card printers, request for animal order (rap) printing, and desktop printers throughout RAR’s facilities). <br />This employee will coordinate all technical support provided by our parent department -- academic health center (AHC) – shared unit, which will include computer and printer purchases, as well as new and upgrade software. The employee will coordinate staff desktop support with the AHC, and monitor AHC charges for that support. The employee will be the primary point person to provide desktop support for staff within the AHC technical framework. <br />In this role the employee will support the AHC/RAR web support. This effort will include forms management (animal move to different location; protocol transfer and/or account string change; export to another institution; animal import form; online import request; RAR diagnostic laboratory submission form; RAR key request form; RAR request for necropsy form; RAR post-operative care admission form; re-derivation request form; breeding cage card request form; animal anesthesia record); accurate text; as well as maintenance of the web page links. The employee will oversee and perform all webpage edits. <br />The employee will provide database support for facility access, keys, and ULearn applications; will review existing databases of these functions; and will identify improvements for implementation.<br /><br />The employee will oversee and maintain supporting software and equipment service agreements, e.g., printing and licensing agreements. This would include copiers (office equipment services, oes); U Market; AHC ongoing computer support; filemaker pro animal health records database; vet view, qualtrics surveys, and other outside consultant agreements, e.g., gentle giant software inc., ibt (integrated business technology), and meritide (web animal ordering software).</span></span></p>
