We are currently seeking a Full-time Development Manager to join our GO team!
Essential Job Functions:
Assist Director of Development with sponsorship tasks related to all of the agency’s events:
Draft event sponsorship materials while collaborating with other agency departments.
Prepare, organize and track all event mailings and sponsorships.
Conduct follow-up activities including direct calls and/or emails.
Serve as the lead External Affairs/Development contact for assigned events and/or regions:
Collaborate with planning committees, executive staff and others to execute fundraising goals.
Meet with potential donors to build relationships.
Prepare materials needed for full participation from volunteers.
Collaborate with executive staff and community board volunteers to grow sponsorship prospects/partnership opportunities and to strengthen or build board involvement.
Lead and/or assist board and committee meetings as assigned – including preparing meeting agendas, meeting notes, internal/external financial reports and sponsorship lists.
Execute follow-up activities as needed or requested to help increase fundraising outcomes for the agency.
Maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects as related to assigned boards and committees.
Assist in coordinating with other External Affairs staff to ensure website pages are up-to-date and accurate.
Assist with gift processing through Raiser’s Edge, including acknowledgement letters and other donor-related correspondence.
Manage other External Affairs functions including agency mailings, cultivation activities, internal meetings, and luncheons as needed.
Assist in managing External Affairs fundraising interns/volunteers.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Three - five years experience in non-profit development department with increasing levels of responsibility.
Ability to manage complex projects with excellent organizational skills and technical expertise.
Ability to balance multiple requests and priorities.
Ability to effectively lead volunteer committees and maintain a high level of professionalism in all circumstances.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends as needed.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs and database management program (i.e. Raiser’s Edge)
Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and access to a vehicle to perform the essential job functions.
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
