The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Outcomes and Pharmacy Practice in Austin, Texas.
The successful applicant will lecture and facilitate practice laboratories and coordinate the Institutional Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) for students in the Pharm.D. program. Candidates with a strong background in hospital or health-system pharmacy practice and/or management are preferred. The successful individual will be expected to assist with the intravenous admixture course and laboratories and with interprofessional education activities. They are also expected to assist with teaching drug information and evidence based medicine, as well as teach hospital-related elective courses. The successful individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with tenure track and non-tenure track faculty on research and scholarship. Service that supports the college, university, and broader professional community is also expected.
Candidates must have an earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, and have successfully completed the advanced education and residency training, or equivalent experience, that is associated with being successful in this type of academic position. Candidates with an accredited health-system pharmacy administration residency, a hospital pharmacy practice residency or have an advanced degree in health care management are preferred, but not required. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective teaching.
