Reporting to the Vice President, Employee Experience & Inclusion, the System Director Diversity & Inclusion is responsible for advancing the diversity and inclusion efforts by developing, implementing, managing and evaluating all aspects of the strategy in order to achieve business results. The incumbent will serve as a key member of the Employee Experience & Inclusion leadership team and work closely with operational leaders, HR executives, regional HR teams and COEs to establish processes, programs and tools to create environments where employees can perform at the level necessary to meet organizational goals and objectives.

Provide expertise in diversity, inclusion and equity strategy development, implementation, planning, and facilitation.
Develops, implements and leads innovative strategies for enterprise diversity, inclusion and equity efforts.
Leads the development and implementation of the diversity and inclusion plan.
Partners with leaders across SSM Health to ensure the work of diversity, inclusion and equity is supported and endorsed by the SSM Health leadership Team and completed within acceptable and measurable time frames.
Works with and coordinates with the System Office and Regional Offices on diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives.
Provides direction and leadership to the System Diversity and Inclusion Council. Ensures the Council receives the necessary support and resources.
Directs the development, implementation and growth of employee resource groups (ERGs) across the regions. Ensures ERGs receive the necessary support and resources.
Develops, plans, facilitates and evaluates education and training opportunities to engage employees and leadership on appreciating individual differences, managing inclusively and cross cultural communication skills.
Develops metrics and maintains statistics to monitor the effectiveness of programs and alert leadership to trends.
Provides insights, resources, tools and actions to drive performance and achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Actively participate in local, national and regional groups, educational institutions and professional organizations focused on diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives on behalf of SSM Health.
Disseminates the appropriate diversity and inclusion information to the System Diversity and Inclusion Council as well as the rest of the organization.
Provides recommendations on vendors and consultants to support diversity and inclusion efforts.
Keeps abreast of current or emerging diversity, inclusion and equity trends and best practices.
Oversees project plans related to diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives and projects, including timelines, metrics, documentation, education and communications.
Master's Degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership roles with significant diversity and inclusion responsibilities.
