Founded in 1961, University of Mobile is affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention and is located 10 miles north of Mobile, Alabama on a campus of over 880 acres. UM offers on?campus and online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in over 40 areas of study.
The University serves over 1600 traditional and post?traditional students and is dedicated to equipping these students for their future professions through rigorous academic preparation and spiritual transformation.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves the unique role of managing the stewardship of the University’s finances while advising the President of avenues to strengthen the financial status of the institution for the ultimate purpose of God’s glory. The CFO serves in the President’s Cabinet, providing up?to?date financial reports of the University while bringing forth strategic financial initiatives that strengthen educational opportunities for students while promoting the financial health of the University. In this process, the CFO has the opportunity to partner with innovative leaders of the various areas of the University while leading a seasoned accounting and human resources team in the Office for Business Services. In this process, the CFO will have the opportunity to exercise one’s professional skills and spiritual support in developing an environment that is honoring God’s calling on the University.
The Chief Financial Officer serves to collaborate with the President to establish efficient and accurate financial management and reporting processes to illustrate the current and projected financial health of the University.

The purpose of the One Mission – Many Partners strategic plan is to fulfil the calling of a University seeking to operate as a Christ?Centered academic community. This purpose will be achieved through the implementation of four broad strategic goals. These goals are drawn directly from University of Mobile core values. These goals will be accomplished through 25 specific and measurable strategic initiatives. The long?range planning as well as the day?to?day operations of every administrative, academic, and support unit of University of Mobile will be guided by the strategic plan.
