MSK is seeking a Multimedia Editor/Producer to develop a range of video projects from concept to execution. The ideal candidate has an eye for a good story with hands on experience producing videos, including budgeting, research, storyboarding, shooting, scripting and editing. This position requires an individual with strategic thinking who is nimble, organized and can work collaboratively with a small team, as well as internal and external partners.
Samples of our work include:
Work with institutional partners and colleagues to strategically develop compelling 1- to -5 minute video stories that highlight key messages and support branding goals
Coordinate timelines, logistics, shoot schedules, edit schedules, budgets and staffing for multiple projects, including quick turnaround videos
Demonstrate strong writing skills with the ability to convey complex topics into lay friendly language
Create short bio videos with clinical staff that convey a human connection along with a philosophy of care
Think creatively in visualizing stories when b-roll options are limited
Manage internal partner requests
Collaborate with internal partners in building short and long term planning for video content
Translate client needs and key messages into engaging video content
Provide insight in planning video content across all key channels including web, social and intranet
Manage external video partners including videographers, editors and producer
Assist in development of scopes of work and budget parameters for selected projects with outside vendors
Manage all PO/Invoice requests and vendor communications
A Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field
5-7 years of relevant experience
Proven ability to shoot video
Demonstrated video editing experience with portfolio
Strong understanding of best practices related to video for digital platforms
Strong time management and organization skills to handle multiple projects at one time
Manage project budgets and production time lines
Strong interview skills
Provide insight into industry trends and best practices for video and visual storytelling
Graphics experience is a plus
Knowledge of budgeting project
Excellent project management skills
