We are seeking an employee who can perform complicated data and statistical analytics at a Master’s degree level. This person should help us perform high level statistical and data analysis that should result in publishable outcomes. This person assists in developing and conducting research projects, including experiment design, data analysis and documentation of experiment results.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzes data from clinical epidemiology and administrative data sets using existing software applications, such as STATA, SAS, and R.
Assists with writing of scientific manuscripts.
Creates figures, tables as needed for presentations and publications.
Collaborates with team members, attends lab meetings, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 2 years of experience in related field required or Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computer science or related field plus one year of experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience equaling 6 years.
Proficiency with SAS, R, Excel, Access, SQL or similar programming language, STATA.
Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
Ability to analyze results of large complex data sets and interpret results.
Expertise in bioinformatics tools.
The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $25.89 per hour.
