The Clinical Research Nurse accepts research responsibility with guidance from the Principal Investigator(s) and the Director of Clinical Research Operations. The Clinical Research Nurse will work in conjunction with a CRA and both will be in charge of data management and other clinical research tasks. The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for undertaking under the direction of the PI and the Director of Clinical Research Operations Phase I-III clinical trials.
The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for maintaining and coordinating a system for evaluation of patients for eligibility for participation in clinical trials, toxicities related to the study, planning with the attending physician and or PI all evaluations and treatments.
The Clinical Research Nurse will maintain effective data flow related to human clinical studies. This includes the patient evaluation/assessment, registration, compilation and submission of data, monitoring of study compliance and other responsibilities outlined below that are associated with the coordination of human clinical studies. The individuals in this position will be expected to have an understanding of how regulatory and financial processes work together in the management of clinical research studies and assist in management of these processes.
