Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is Seeking an Assistant Director Student Financial Aid for the Department of Financial Aid. Under the supervision of the Associate Campus Director and the Associate University Director of Student Financial Aid, provides support and services for the processing of financial aid counseling for all students at RBHS.
Counsels, packages and awards students regarding regulations, procedures, programs and eligibility for all financial aid.
Presents at Financial Aid workshops, orientations, literacy programs and other venues.
Provides administrative computer services for all TAG and EOF related functions in conjunction with the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority.
Responsible for follow-up with external agencies and organizations in order to troubleshoot student online processing.
Maintains and supports all Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) online processing for TAG.
May participate on Loan Module Task Force, which is comprised of representatives from each campus, SISS and SCT, and makes recommendations on future processes.
Assists Associate Campus Director and the Associate University Director of Student Financial Aid/Technical Support in software testing and federal and state grant processes.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college plus three (3) years financial aid experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training, may be substituted for the education requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), Department of Ed Software, COD, NSLDS, SAIG and Peoplesoft.
