The Urgent Care LPN is responsible for collection and documentation of patient information to include vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies health risk screen information, status of extended care benefits and other services in a critical care environment. Primary Responsibilities: Anticipate provider needs for patient exam or treatments Provides clinical intervention such as drug administration, treatments, IV access and procedures as ordered by provider and within scope of practice Assists co-workers with duties when requested to include, but not limited to, floating to other areas including Observation Unit Responsible for compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart and narcotic count as well as other requirements dictated by clinic needs Responsible to maintain required licensure and certification Ability to function as a strong team member in a fast paced critical environmentMust have high knowledge level of customer service principles and ability to remain calm and composed in pressured situations. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to learn and apply job functions. Must be able to meet all health requirements prior to employment and periodically thereafter, as required by company policy/state regulations to verify free from communicable disease and physically able to perform assigned duties. Must have the ability to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and to perform the following functions on a regular basis; sitting/standing/walking/bending/crouching and reaching.
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV LPN license upon expiration of temporary NV LPN license 1+ years of clinical nursing experience required (preferably in an acute, ER or Urgent Care setting) CPR / BLS certification Blood draw/lab experience is a must Willing to float to observation unit Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed IV certification / experience Previous experience charting in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Careers with Optum.
