Full Time; Contract Starting Salary Range: $20.00-$22.00/hourly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The International Student Programs Coordinator is charged with facilitating co-curricular programs and activities that promote interaction between international and domestic students, help international students and scholars integrate into campus and community life, improve international student retention and support international student academic success. Under supervision, the Coordinator liaises with campus units and external vendors as needed to deliver programs, markets programs to students and scholars. The position assists in coordinating student worker tasks in support of programs and activities.
The Division of Global Engagement (DGE) advances the University's teaching, research and service mission by working collaboratively throughout the institution to promote global engagement and advance campus internationalization by increasing international mobility among students and faculty, promoting faculty engagement in international activities and developing strategic partnerships abroad. DGE interacts with campus leadership on strategic planning and initiatives to elevate the reputation of UCSC globally. DGE units include Study Abroad, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and Special International Projects.
Selected candidate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Selected candidate must have the ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Must possess a valid license to drive in the state of California.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Basic knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
Basic knowledge of UC and international education.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
