Essential Functions: Develop and maintain a productive research program, including external funding.Supervise the dissertation research of graduate students.Teach graduate courses in educational leadership and policy studies at the master's and doctoral level (Ed.D. and Ph.D.).Contribute to college and university service activities.
Qualifications: We are seeking a scholar whose work extends and strengthens the expertise of current faculty to address issues that bridge K-16 and higher education administration, including college access, leadership for social justice, and the economics of education. Experience in education leadership roles, whether at the school, district, state, or federal level, or in education-related foundations or non profits, is desirable. Experience or interest in establishing local educational partnerships is also valuable. Applicants must have earned a doctorate by August 2018.Important review criteria include evidence of a commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds; commitment to excellence in teaching and advising; and eagerness to embody the College of Education theme, "The Effective Urban Educator: Reflective, Innovative and Committed to Diversity."
