The University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC) Enterprise is seeking an Application Development Programmer III. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in all areas of the software development life cycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance) to develop application solutions for departments & units within UKHC. They will possess strong communication skills; in-depth experience with numerous development languages; have experience developing and supporting custom applications in an enterprise environment; and have experience participating in team-based development. Primary duties include developing applications in asp.net/C#/SQL, UI design, and debugging and enhancing existing code. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the timely and accurate estimation of development requests; performing code peer review; performing unit and system testing; and assisting in setting development standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Microsoft Visual Studio; ASP.NET 4.x; Entity Framework; Data Modeling; HTML/XHTML/CSS; PHP; VB.NET/C#; LINQ; SQL Server 2008 or higher; SQL queries; and various frontend frameworks.
